Â鶹´«Ã½ (Â鶹´«Ã½) provides students with the opportunity to demonstrate college-level competency and earn college credit through the development of a Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) portfolio. Students may document and present evidence of college-level knowledge and skills gained through employment, military service, industry training, volunteer activities, certifications, or other life experiences that were not acquired through traditional classroom instruction. Following faculty evaluation, students may be awarded credit for specific Â鶹´«Ã½ courses.
"Before preparing or submitting a PLA application, students must first consult with the PLA Office to determine whether the requested course is currently available for PLA evaluation. Students should email bsc.priorlearning@bismarckstate.edu prior to beginning the application process.
After confirming course eligibility, students should review the and complete the applicable PLA application form. Completed applications and supporting documentation should be submitted to the PLA Office at bsc.priorlearning@bismarckstate.edu.
